My Story
I caught the entrepreneurial bug at the ripe young age of 10. Although we always had a roof over our heads and food in our bellies, our family was not what one would call “well off” by any stretch of the imagination. I always knew that if I wanted anything new or “hip,” I was going to have to make my own money for it.
So one year, my parents decided to sell “stuff” at the flea market. They would purchase said stuff at wholesale and resell it for a profit.
I got a brilliant idea one day when I realized the vendors didn’t want to leave their booths to get food at lunch time. I thought “Hmmmm. I wonder if they would pay someone like me to get their lunches for them?”
To my surprise and delight, they were happy to pay a budding little entrepreneur a buck or two to get their food for them.
I was thrilled with the extra cash! More importantly, I liked what it represented. It was like making something out of nothing. Just my creativity and ingenuity in finding a need and filling it.
Fast-forward to today. I’ve done the “corporate 9-5.” Been there. Done that. I’m an entrepreneur at heart so I understand the unique challenges we face. Especially as women. That’s why I love helping my clients connect, grow their businesses, unearth their creativity and the build authentic relationships.
